Professor Opper is the Gad Rausing Professor of International Economics and Business at Lund University in Sweden. Her research and teaching interests include economic reforms in the PR of China, East Asian capitalism, transformation of economic systems, the rise of capitalism, comparative economic systems, new institutional economics, and entrepreneurship.
